1. For safety reasons, please disconnect the battery when replacing the belt to avoid accidental rotation of the fan blade when your hand is in the engine room.
2. Check the alignment of the drive wheels before removing the old drive belt. If the drive shaft is not parallel or the drive wheel deviates from the axis position, the drive device will wear the drive belt and scrap it in advance. The offset forces the drive belt to twist or wind during operation, thereby applying uneven tension on the tension line. In the most serious case of inaccurate alignment, the drive belt may fall off from the drive wheel. The situation of inaccurate adjustment can be tested with right angles. If there is a gap between the drive wheel surface and the right angle, it indicates that the axis is not parallel. Once the axis is not parallel, the failed drive wheel, drive wheel support or shaft must be adjusted or replaced.
3. The complexity of replacement and installation depends on the structure of the vehicle. The installer can usually find the required information in the road map on or near the engine. In the absence of a road map, the following simple rules will help the installer:
A. One side of the transmission belt with V-shaped groove is meshed with the transmission wheel groove.
B. The drive belt generally surrounds the drive wheel.
C. Generally, if only one drive wheel is wound around the belt, the installation may be incorrect. The drive wheel is close to the center of the drive wheel set and is always a grooveless drive wheel.
D. If the installed drive belt appears too long or short, it is likely that the path around the drive wheel is wrong.
E. The drive belt shall be securely installed on all drive wheel grooves, and the drive belt shall span freely
