Traditional festival: Laba Festival

Laba Festival, or the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, is also known as "Talisman Festival", "Buddha Daoism Festival", "Daoism meeting", etc. Originally a Buddhist festival to commemorate Sakyamuni Buddha's enlightenment, it gradually became a folk festival.

The moon at the end of the year is called "La", which has three meanings:

One said, "Wax, take also"

Meaning the old and the new, the old and the new.

The second said, "Those who waxed, hunt together."

It refers to the field hunting birds, ancestor worship to God.

On the third day, "the waxers welcome the spring after the epidemic."

On the day of the winter sacrifice, worship ancestors and family gods:

The god of door, household, kitchen, house and well

A pot of Laba porridge, rich and cold dispelling,

Add three points of warmth and seven points of warmth for the age of cold.

In the porridge of seven treasures and five flavors,

Is more than one thousand years of warmth, blessing phase.

Laba has arrived, the year is not far away,

With the warmth of porridge, let love reunite in taste,
