In the operation of the wheat combine harvester, the operation progress is often reduced due to the blockage of the drum. The reasons are: too much feed of wheat stalks; low rotation speed of the drum on the threshing device; too small gap between the concave plates of the drum; damp wheat stalks, etc. Based on the above reasons, the following countermeasures can be taken:

1. Appropriately reduce the forward speed of the wheat combine harvester to reduce the straw input between the drum and the concave plate.

2. Properly increase the height of the wheat stubble in the field and shorten the length of the crops to be cut to reduce the pressure of the long-stalked wheat on the concave plate of the drum.

3. The driving speed of the wheat combine harvester should be even, not from time to time and from time to time.

4. Check the tightness of the drive belt on the drum. If it is too loose, replace it with a new drive V belt in time.

5. Change the transmission ratio and increase the drum speed. First loosen the handwheel chuck on the driving pulley, turn the handwheel, and let the movable plate move in the axial direction, in order to achieve the purpose of shortening the distance between the movable plate and the fixed plate. As the distance between the transportation and the fixed plate is reduced, the effective diameter of the driving pulley is increased. Under the action of the drive belt, the increase in the effective diameter of the active pulley is exactly the decrease in the effective diameter of the passive pulley on the drum. Due to the change in the transmission ratio, the drum speed is increased accordingly.

6. According to the ratio of 4:1, appropriately increase the gap between the inlet and the outlet on the concave plate of the drum. After the gap is increased, it will lead to a decline in the removal effect. Therefore, the driver should pay attention to the amount of wheat grains in the discharge, and strictly prohibit the grains in the discharge exceeding the standard.

7. Do not cut immature wheat or wheat with damp stalks. The operator must first slow down the driving speed of the wheat combine harvester; second, try to increase the rotation speed of the drum.

8. Reasonable arrangements for work, maintenance, and rest time, it is best not to harvest wheat when the straw returns to moisture (evening, morning).

9. The operator should skillfully use the blocking release facilities on the threshing device. Don't remember the function of the blocking device after the drum is blocked. The correct operation method is to pull up the blocking release operating handle in the cab at the moment when the drum is about to be blocked, and then quickly put the handle back to its original place after releasing the blocking. Only in this way can the wheat combine harvester be in operation to avoid the failure of the drum blocking.
